New House New Dog

We made it! Still lots to unpack but we're here and I couldn't be happier. The new house is 100+ years old but brand new on the inside and very bright and cheerful. I've already met 3 neighbors and really like the feel of our new block. My commute to work is about 6 minutes so no complaints there either.

In other news, we're now a 3-dog family again. Alex convinced me to adopt a stray Chiweenie one of his friends took in. Charlie is his name and he's quite the cutie.

  2. Priorities priorities Debbie, leave the unpacking, that can wait, open the wine and decide where the sewing machine is going to go.
Looks like your new little guy has made himself at home already.

  12. Welcome Home!
I love your new house, I can just picture sitting on that beautiful front porch, sipping some lemonade (maybe sometime in November when it cools down here in Florida).
Charlie is so cute too, I see he has made himself right at home.
I hope to see some sewing room mojo soon!

  20. Yay! Congrats on both the new house and the new dog! I love the exterior shot of your house. I can't even fathom what it would be like to have a 6-minute commute (mine is an hour each way)--it'd be like getting a whole second life!

  21. I have the (about) six minute commute too. However, it comes with sucky job situation which translates to more fabric in the end run. Love photos of new puppy - I'm ready for that too. Here's to organizing your sewing area and getting back on the "Inspiration to us all" wagon.

  24. Hi Debbie! I've been meaning to message you, so here it is. I love the house and the dog, I recently adopted a new dog myself. Given I live in Dunedin and work on Falkenburg Rd, you know I am WAY jealous of your commute. Very busy job, but I like it, and I'm almost settled into a Mon-Fri work schedule. Yell if you need help unpacking, my mojo is drowned lately so I've been cooking instead.... which is dangerous. Maybe some sewing talk would help :) Karen

  41. All that matters is getting the kitchen, bedroom and most important.... the sewing room! Do you have room for a sewing room this time? Hope whatever space it is you will enjoy it and your mojo will survive all this moving around. Put your feet up, get some lemonade relax and dream of what you will sew next! How have the other two pooches taken to your new friend? Hope all is well.
