I LOVE the Jeans!!! You are such an inspiration. Now I want to make myself some jeans. First steps are to create a pattern for myself and then find some useable denim "muslin". The zipper tutorial is great. Now I have to ask the dorkiest question. Did you make a pair of jeans using the green zipper or is that just for the tutorial??? And I love, love the pocket fabric.
Debbie, THANK YOU! Sorry, didn't mean to yell, but I'm so excited. Step 6 is exactly what I needed. How simple it is, but yet I hadn't a clue how you got that stitching done so perfectly. Did I say, thank you.
The existence of a "stitch in the ditch" foot explains a lot about my poor stitching in ditches. I'll have to get one!
I have a question about your zippers. I made two pairs of jeans with regular zippers, which both quickly tore out, and one pair with a jeans zipper, which held up. I looks as if you've used a regular zipper. Do you have any trouble with zippers tearing out? I wonder if my trouble was my installation method more than my zipper style.
You are now assured a spot in heaven! As I've mentioned in my own blog, I need to be shown step by step instructions. I just don't interpret things correctly, but thanks to people like you there IS hope for people like me!
Thanks so much for doing this! It looks so great, and although I do my fly fronts mostly like this, I haven't quite figured out how to do a fly shield or when to do that line of topstitching close to CF.
Thank you for each and every comment. I appreciate them all, but I have to be honest and let you know that I'm usually bad about answering questions. I hope you understand that there just isn't enough time in the day to do everything I want to do.
