Note to self: Stand away from the lamp so it doesn't look like a tumor growing out of my hip. |
But I actually kept this black cardi on most of the day as the office runs cool.
The top definitely passed the wearability test and with just using 28" of fabric plus 1/2 pack of binding, I can see a few more of these in my future. Even from Joann's Polly & Esther collection. ;-)
Looks very cute, Debbie. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteVery cute, especially love it with the cardi.
ReplyDeleteI love it with the cardi too. Such a classic little look!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I really need to make one of those magic skirts. Yours always look so good.
ReplyDeleteNice combo!
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit.
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit - wonderful combination of colours. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteBut, but, Polly and Esther are such cuties! (er, not usually!)
ReplyDeleteLooks super on you! Great kick-start to the sewing for 2013...
ReplyDeleteIt's a great work look! You definitely should make more.
ReplyDeleteYou're looking good girl-very professionally turned out in your cardi suit. Love the Polly and Esther remark. I made a muslin of a tank out of some of the nastiest stuff that ever lived meaning to toss it yet have worn it to death as a layering piece. Biggest reason is it doesn't wrinkle and is indestructible in the wash and the colors are forever the same. In fact I want to hunt some more Polly and Esther prints for winter wear.
ReplyDeleteGreat little combo. Love anything that layers.
ReplyDeleteThat outfit looks fabulous, as do you, Debbie.
ReplyDeletegreat looking top
ReplyDeleteThis looks better on you than the dress form! It looks great with the cardi too.
ReplyDeleteGreat combo! As for Polly and Esther, it is really a shame that Joann's is almost the only go to fabric store in the Tampa Bay area.
ReplyDeleteThe whole outfit looks so good. I love the purple skirt. Wow, I just realized that I DO like purple....but never wear it????
ReplyDeleteThis outfit looks great! Had a little chuckle about the lamp... at least it's not right over the top of your head LOL.
ReplyDeletePoly & Ester! Too stinkin' cute. I love it with the cardi. Great outfit. g
ReplyDeleteI like the way the purple skirt brought out the purple accents in the top. Great outfit! I have the magic skirt pattern, and I need to try it out.
ReplyDeleteI have been reading your blog for years (long time reader, first time commenter) and, woman, I gotta say... your new life must really agree with you. You look happy, gorgeous and chic lately. I didn't add "smart" cuz we all already know you're witty, resourceful AND intelligent.
ReplyDeleteGood for you!
You look fabulous, with and without the cardi :-).
