We made it! Still lots to unpack but we're here and I couldn't be happier. The new house is 100+ years old but brand new on the inside and very bright and cheerful. I've already met 3 neighbors and really like the feel of our new block. My commute to work is about 6 minutes so no complaints there either.
In other news, we're now a 3-dog family again. Alex convinced me to adopt a stray Chiweenie one of his friends took in. Charlie is his name and he's quite the cutie.
Many congrats, Debbie, on the new digs and the new dog!
ReplyDeletePriorities priorities Debbie, leave the unpacking, that can wait, open the wine and decide where the sewing machine is going to go.
ReplyDeleteLooks like your new little guy has made himself at home already.
Congratulations! May this be your last move for a very long time!
ReplyDeleteAdorable dog and lovely new home...congratulations!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on surviving the move!
ReplyDeleteCharming house, all spiffed up and waiting for you and your family. May you spend many happy years there.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to your new home....both Debbie and Charlie. Love the look of it and wish you happy years together.
ReplyDeleteYou did it, and found a very cute house! And cute dog! And who would believe a 6-minute commute, wow!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that Craftsman cottage. It looks so welcoming and you sound very happy. Can't wait until you're settled and we get to see some of your excellent sewing. Welcome to the family, Charlie!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the house AND the dog -- they both look adorable!
ReplyDeleteAnd I would LOVE a third dog...
DeleteHousewarming wishes for you!!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome Home!
ReplyDeleteI love your new house, I can just picture sitting on that beautiful front porch, sipping some lemonade (maybe sometime in November when it cools down here in Florida).
Charlie is so cute too, I see he has made himself right at home.
I hope to see some sewing room mojo soon!

Yay! Glad the move went well and the new house sounds like it's already feeling like home :)
ReplyDeleteH, I'm so pleased that the move went well for you, I hope that you are very happy in your new home, I do like your front porch, we don't have many like that here in the UK, perhaps I should build one. All the best Judy
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! what a lovely home.
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you Debbie, congratulations!
ReplyDeleteMany congratulations on your new house Debbie, it looks absolutely lovely. I hope you will be really happy there, and that you can stay for a long time.
ReplyDeleteNothing like being settled and past the packing and un-packing stage! The house is darling, wishing I had a front porch too! Best wishes on your future sewing projects!
ReplyDeleteThe house has lots of curb appeal. Best of luck in your new surroundings. Charlie is very cute, and I'm sure he's grateful for his new home, too.
ReplyDeleteYay! Congrats on both the new house and the new dog! I love the exterior shot of your house. I can't even fathom what it would be like to have a 6-minute commute (mine is an hour each way)--it'd be like getting a whole second life!
ReplyDeleteI have the (about) six minute commute too. However, it comes with sucky job situation which translates to more fabric in the end run. Love photos of new puppy - I'm ready for that too. Here's to organizing your sewing area and getting back on the "Inspiration to us all" wagon.
ReplyDeleteHope this isn't a duplicate, don't know what happened to the first post. Just want to say I love the house and you enjoy the new doggie and the new house.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your new home! Hope you guys settle in well and quick. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie! I've been meaning to message you, so here it is. I love the house and the dog, I recently adopted a new dog myself. Given I live in Dunedin and work on Falkenburg Rd, you know I am WAY jealous of your commute. Very busy job, but I like it, and I'm almost settled into a Mon-Fri work schedule. Yell if you need help unpacking, my mojo is drowned lately so I've been cooking instead.... which is dangerous. Maybe some sewing talk would help :) Karen
ReplyDeleteI love a cottage style house! A new dog and a six-minute commute sounds great, too:)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you are now in a better place and with another furry friend as well. All the best!

ReplyDeleteAll that matters is getting the kitchen, bedroom and most important.... the sewing room! Do you have room for a sewing room this time? Hope whatever space it is you will enjoy it and your mojo will survive all this moving around. Put your feet up, get some lemonade relax and dream of what you will sew next! How have the other two pooches taken to your new friend? Hope all is well.
