Look at the "photo-enhanced" collar and narrower neckline in this pic compared to the actual results below. Already, it's an improvement. I still can't save this top, but I think I can make another one I'll actually finish and wear.
I like the look of this top. Do you have enough material left over to make a new collar? Then the embroidery around the waist wouldn't go to ... waste!
The new neckline and collar do look better, but I'm still not loving this top. I can't quite figure out why, perhaps it's the color. Perhaps it looks a little too gray on you?
Anyway, I admire your persistance and hope you have better luck next time around with the pattern.
