And just like that, the sewing mojo left. Of course, after I publicly announced I would work on the capris for a bit every morning. Sigh. I did work on them a little this morning, but didn't get very far.
I'm hoping to trick the mojo back with this post. Fingers crossed that I wake up tomorrow wanting to sew like a madwoman. ;-)
'Went the way of my 23" waist!! If anyone finds either, please send them home, eh!! Tee! Hee!

Yep, know how that goes...mine is in and out lately--mostly out!!!!
ReplyDeleteIf you find any mojo can you please send some my way. I've been staring at the unfinished jacket on my dress form for days, wanting to do anything but sew. I've even been avoiding my sewing room so I don't have to look at it. How sad is that?!!
ReplyDeleteGlad tropical storm Fay passed you by.
Mine's gone too for the first time in months. They must all be having a vacation somewhere.
ReplyDeleteWhen I just can't make myself get into the sewing mood..I say that I have lost my "sewing bug". When I feel like sewing again I just say I found him sitting on the shelf in my sewing room or somewhere close. It is a joke in the family as to where Mom's or Grandma's sewing bug got lost this time.

I feel your pain. At least you have work overtime as a valid reason. Unlike my once small waist that barring famine or disease is never coming back, I hope your sewing mojo returns.Sometimes all you sewing busy bees inspire me to do something. I used to sew daily. Now I have a computer and it is easier to see what the rest of you are sewing or collect patterns that you alter for us. mssewcrazy
ReplyDeleteWell, my mojo was left in Hong Kong (but then Allison doesn't have it?). Sigh...perhaps all the mojo's have been sucked up into that vast gap in the ozone....if only the stash was taken with them!
ReplyDeleteOh I know what you mean. Sometimes you just need to walk away and watch a movie or read a book or anything else. Your mojo will find it's way home in due time. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie,
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to send you a thank you for your help with some advice on Pattern Review. I was making a knit top with facings from KwikSew which was not looking great. You suggested a lining ... I unpicked the seam, the understitching and two rows of topstitching and remade the top with a lining in the manner you suggested. I got a great result and learnt a new technique for knits. Thank you so much!
All the best, Natasha (from Australia)
I'll bet hat mojo's still there, it's just the weather that's got you hunkered down.
ReplyDeleteYou need to make a cute T shirt - that's what I always do when the mojo is MIA. In your favorite color. That will get you started again!
ReplyDeleteGood luck finding the mojo. Mine has never once appeared in the morning (although I can sew like a madwoman into the wee hours). Lately, what with getting the kids back to college and preparing to start the new school year with the little guys, I have no ambition at all....
ReplyDeleteLord that's a fussy little commodity isn't it, that mojo. Don't let yours come hijack mine, I need it for at least another week.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are okay and Fay has not done you and your family any harm.
ReplyDeleteJust a checking to see if you're waterlogged yet? Stay safe & dry!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could find my mojo. IT has been gone for months. I keep trying to get it back, but no luck yet. I think I'm going to start slowly with a goal of one thing a month.
ReplyDeleteI hope the bad weather/flooding has not found you!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you still have your Mojo, you just needed a little break :)
Hope you're doing okay down there with Faye's nasty visit.
