The blouse is done and it's a keeper. I'm hoping to take pics and write up a review tomorrow or Tuesday.
I spent Thursday night, Friday night and all day Saturday at a seminar my company put on. That would be fine, except I had no voice. And I mean NO VOICE. I had a cold last week and only felt bad the first day of it and then days later out of the blue, I lost my voice. Not the best situation when one is dealing with hoards of people asking questions. But except for the voice thing, I actually felt perfectly fine.
Until today. It all caught up with me I suppose. I forced myself to finish the blouse this afternoon and then as much as I wanted to use the rest of the day to do something else productive in the sewing room, I just couldn't muster any motivation to do anything more than look at some patterns in the on-deck pile. I know I'm running a low-grade temp so any energy is gone. Ugh. And I still have no voice.
Hopefully this will pass quickly.
Feel better!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better.

I have been following your very productive sewing life. I feel for you, being sick and wanting to get more done. It's been that kind of winter.
ReplyDeleteI've only been back to sewing a few months now...and yes, the frustration hits hard. But your posts and your blog are so encouraging to me. I'm in awe when I see you alter your muslins, and I know I'll get there eventually.
ReplyDeleteI just want to say thank you...and not have you all think I'm whining all the time (because I know that I do.)
And yes, I'll keep at it. Luckily it's fun and I have the time, just not all the skills.
Your garments are just lovely, and fit you so beautifully.
p.s I posted this here as PM's are disabled on PR

My boys have this, too. Sorry it has hit you; hope you recover soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the inspiration. I went onto your site to get information about the binders, and spent a couple hours throughly enjoying your stories and pictures of your sewing projects. For some reason, I had lost my ambition--desire--whatever, to sew again, but I think it's back thanks to you. Do you have any hints on patterns accomodating(read:flattering) the "fluffy tummy syndrome"? I really liked some of the tops you made, but I would never be able to make myself pants that actually fit!! Thanks again. Bev
