Another Time Waster

You paid attention during 97% of high school!

85-100% You must be an autodidact, because American high schools don't get scores that high! Good show, old chap!

Do you still deserve your high school diploma?

All this means is that my brain seems to retain a lot of useless information. I don't think I actually learned a lot of this stuff from the school system. And what's with that "old chap" stuff?

  1. LOL! Ok, I did it...and got the same score, which reflected missing one question. But it doesn't make sense; with 21 questions, missing one should yield a score of 95.2%, not 97% (BTW, I goofed on the Immaculate Conception question...and I knew that, I just didn't read the question right.)

So, do you suppose the percentage is weighted depending on whether or not the quizz taker is male or female and how old they are? That is, I get bonus points for only missing one when I'm such an old lady?

But the upshot is...Debbie, I bet we'd make a really good Trivial Pursuit team... :D

  2. I don't think these DIY quizzes are sophisticated enough to be weighted. I also don't think the first 2 questions count. But I have no idea, really! And yes!! Trivial Pursuit ... we'd clean up. ;-)

  3. Ok, that was fun! And fortunately I remember 80% of my HS experience (which seems about right, I've lost some brain cells now that I'm a SAHM).

I might add that I hated geometry. I had a teacher, Mr. Leo who's only reason for teaching is because he wanted to be the baseball coach. He was a horrible geometry teacher - I had to teach myself. I hope my daughter is better at it than what I am - I'm not sure that I can answer her questions!

  4. AH! Of course, the first two don't count...but then, missing 1 out of 19 would mean a score of 94.7%...

and I don't think I learned much of that in High School, either.

I don't even think some of it had *happened* yet when I was in high school... ;)

  5. I got 69%... yep, sounds about right. Funny, the answers I did know I learned in college, not HS.

Candyo- blogger "forgot" I was logged in and I guess I "forgot" my password.

  6. My favorite part is the misspelling in the Shakespeare question. got 80%, but think it would have been higher if I'd calculated the triangle instead of guessing at it.

Thank you for each and every comment. I appreciate them all, but I have to be honest and let you know that I'm usually bad about answering questions. I hope you understand that there just isn't enough time in the day to do everything I want to do.
