Is Anyone Up for a Giveaway?

Up for grabs a new, unopened copy of Kwik Sew 3764.

I had first ordered it from an online sewing pattern shop which shall not be named because they took FOREVER to send it or even communicate with me after inquiries. So long, in fact, that I ordered a second copy from Fabric.com. Which meant, of course, that I eventually ended up with TWO copies of the pattern. My gain is your gain.

Leave a comment and you'll be entered into the random drawing. Comments to this post will be closed next Sunday evening and the winner will be announced next Monday, April 11. International (to me) readers are welcome to enter too. I'm especially enamored with Aussie accents (but it won't give you any advantage if you have one, even if you do bribe me with Vegemite).

  3. I would I have asked for a refund from the slow shipping place. When I ordered from them, they seemed really shocked that I might be offended that they took my money and wouldn't respond to my emails for 3 weeks. Live and learn, I guess.

  19. Imagine my surprise when reading my blog list this morning to find that you are offering this pattern to giveaway. I just added it to my must have pattern list last night, saw this awesome fur lined vest the other day for $400 and this pattern is the spitting image! Hope I win :-) Oh and all said in an Aussie accent all the way from sunny Queensland in Australia - like I need a fur lined vest, would still love this pattern though to make someting along the same line. Cheers and thanks!

  20. Please enter me, too! That pattern has been on my wishlist :)

  21. I would love a copy of this pattern. We 'talked' about our mutual problem with this company and their shipping. I emailed twice and tried calling...voice mail box always full! My second email was answered with profuse apologies and I got my pattern very quickly...of course there was still a month delay in getting the pattern from the time I ordered. AND I even live in the same state they ship from!!! I almost feel like we should name the company...

  25. Well heck yeah! :) I love your blog (and thanks for the incredible tutorials, BTW). I'd bet that any jacket I make wouldnt' come close to the things you accomplish, but I'd like one for riding my motorcycle. This looks like a biker jacket to me. :)

  54. Gidday Mate! Not Australian, but one of my best friends is an Aussie. Also, New Zealand's not that far and some say it's even better over this side of the ditch ;)

  57. 3-4 weeks to ship a pattern?!!! Please name the company. I'm a big believer in word of mouth reviews so I share positive and negative experiences with everyone. If you read my blog, you will see 2 companies to avoid like the plague and many more to spend a paycheck at. Just my 2 cents.
Anyway, love this pattern. It's been on my "want" list for some time. Please enter me in the drawing. Thanks.

  58. Have you noticed that Dana Delaney is wearing a very similar jacket in that new show on ABC - Body of Proof. It looks great on her.

I think the pattern is so cute but wouldn't be good on my body-type, so I'm not really entering the giveaway!

  59. I Love the look of that pattern and would like to give it a try (even though I live in Florida, too!)

  62. I'll bribe you with vegemite. Not sure how I wound up with a jar, but I'm not going to try it.

  63. Tell your sewing sisters who was the tardy company. Life has consequences.
    Love your jacket.

  64. ...don't have any vegemite, how about nutella? ;-)

totally love this pattern! It's been haunting me, but I have to use what I already have before I can spend any more on sewing right now.

  65. 70 comments!!?? I am going to buy a pattern I don't even need (since I don't sew), just to have a give-away on my blog.

P.S. I wore the "Debbie shirt" again last weekend to attend a wonderful concert at Alice Tully Hall. And to inaugurate my new teaching space last Wednesday. The first words of the studio owner when I walked in? "Great shirt!"

    Indeed.
