Done With Diana 23-31
I see now that it's hanging crooked on Zillie but the top is done, and I like it. I hemmed it on the long-ish side because the fabric is a rayon knit that will likely shrink some more in the laundry. If not, I'll have to re-hem it later. Like that will happen.
Here's the back neckline:
I'll take pics with me wearing it and write a review soon. I just looked and I haven't "officially" reviewed a pattern since March. I didn't realize it had been that long.
Next I'm going to give Jalie 2681 a try.

Thank you for each and every comment. I appreciate them all, but I have to be honest and let you know that I'm usually bad about answering questions. I hope you understand that there just isn't enough time in the day to do everything I want to do.

I am glad I checked back before knocking off for the day. This top is fabulous, everything about. Noone would even think that you were an amateur stencilist, everything goes together so very nicely.
ReplyDeleteDid you add to the width at the hem or did all the perceived fullness come from the added gathers at the neckline?
Debbie, you could definitely put up this pattern for sale! Well done.
That is so cute!!! I like it much better as a V-neck.
ReplyDeleteI really like this one! Especially the stenciling around the neckline.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I l-o-v-e the stencilling on your new top! But you knew I would. :) I'm going to have to dig out my stencils and paint again. Luckily mine aren't buried too deep and I do know where they are. :) I like the metallic paint you used.
ReplyDeletewhen i saw it without the sleeves, i was thinking "maybe stencil on the sleeve bands too." now that i see it with the sleeves, definitely better with only stenciling at the neck....draws attention to your face.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting detail the stenciling adds.
ReplyDeleteDebbie I really like this top, especially the little bit extra that the stencilling added. There will now be a rash of stencilling appearing in blogland you know :} g
ReplyDeleteWell, now....that's just plum perty! Love it.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous top! The stenciling definitely adds to the top. You always have such great ideas.
ReplyDeleteLove the v-neck and your stenciling really makes the top. Great job.
ReplyDeleteIt came out wonderful! I'm going to give this a try with my own T&T pattern. Well done!
